V9 spent many years at the Puffing Billy Railways museum at Menzies Creek in Victoria, where it was able to provide spare parts for the railways sole diesel locomotive which was converted from sister V12. V9 was sold to the West Coast Wilderness Railway around 2005 and is stored in Queenstown for future use. December 2010
