The Bellarine Railway is located at Queenscliff, about 60 km southwest of
Melbourne, Victoria. During the late 1970's part of the former Victorian Railways
Queenscliff branch line was regauged from the standard Victorian gauge of 5'3" (1600
mm) to 3'6" (1067 mm) gauge. Services have since been extended as far as Drysdale,
where the former Hobart locomotive turntable has been installed. Photo: Former TGR
diesel locomotive X3 at Queenscliff. Directly behind the X is former Western Australian
steam locomotive V1209. In the background is a former South Australian passenger carriage.

Please Note: This page has no connection at all with the Bellarine Railway. This page has been produced independently as part of a series covering major preserved railways. The BR have their own official site with society details.
This table only includes Tasmanian exhibits. In addition to the exhibits on our list, there are also a number of other steam locomotives, passenger carriages, wagons and railmotors on the railway. These exhibits come from all states of Australia. The official BR site has a full stock listing, not just those from Tasmania.
