Although based on northeast Tasmania, the layout contains many Tasmanian influences. The core of the layout is a folded oval in the centre, with branch lines along the other walls, although as further development is carried out these dead ends will take on more importance.

Planning is currently underway to add a new station area in a currently undeveloped part of the room.
